Can't you use HotKey's syntax literally (i.e. without pressing the hotkey in the box, just type its HotKey "name" there, e.g. "SPACE" or "CTRL V"), then set the HotKey option in the HotKey measure identically to the hotkey "name" that you typed? I mean, it won't be as interactive as pressing the hotkey itself, but the difference would be just a few additional chars.Please don't give me ideas![:twisted:]( "Twisted Evil")

I don't really want to store the keys, I would like to simply return them into a measure while active. The purpose of this is to create a "listener" field to enter a hotkey, something like this:

It's in Spanish, but it says "Hotkey: Press to assign" and then "Observing keystrokes".
I think a plugin for this case scenario would be safer (without storing the stuff to a file).
