Sorry to intrude here, but you might want to take a look at the posts from this thread, and see which variants you prefer, it's more or less the same principle done in various ways:

Regarding the CPU usage, 20% is way too much, should be around 5% or less, but this depends on how large is the skin and its sliding parts, and also how busy is the CPU with other tasks (other apps running in the foreground and even in the background, other animated skins, skins having large images being resized, etc). Obviously, it will depend on how powerful is your CPU too.

Also, in general, you'd want the OnChangeAction to happen for the string concatenation of artist and track (in another measure) and not on one of them individually, because you could have, say, different artists that released a track called the same. Not sure what you mean by affecting all the text, e.g. either treating everything as a 'block' that slides in unison, or each part (artist, track, album) being able to slide individually and separately depending on its own text length.
