Well, it isn't as comprehensive or interactive as having Rainmeter skins, but it can be reasonably 'pretty' once you configure the MSI AB + RTSS 'skin' in terms of when, where, what and how it is displayed (e.g. on which apps, at which position, at which size and alignment, with which colors, etc.): Most of it is relatvely simple, just the 'Active Layout Properties' looks a bit more obfuscated until you figure out how it works. Once configured as desired, no need to do it again, just backup the 'Profiles' folders from the installation folders of both MSI AB and RTSS to some other drive so you can 'restore' them when needed, e.g. on a new installation.I’ve mainly stuck with the MSI Afterburner + RTSS combo for getting stuff like temps and FPS to show in-game. It’s not as pretty, but it usually gets the job done without much hassle.
P.S. The MSI AB 'Active 3D Process' area and the RTSS 'Application Profile Properties' / 'Application Detection Level' are used to find out and exclude (by setting the latter to 'None') desktop 3D applications from displaying the MSI AB + RTSS 'skin' or otherwise behaving like a 3D app in the context of MSI AB and RTSS.
